Criss-crossed by tensions and crises, it offers a way of being that is essential for the future of mankind: a relationship with time and with pleasure; a way of breathing in the salty air and, from the peak of mythical mountains, contemplating the sea stretching to the horizon; a style of preparing and eating food that is now a world heritage. And again, the art of wine, of olive oil, of citrus fruits, that have no equals elsewhere in the world. And it is this art of living that we want to exalt, to pursue, to rediscover and renew. And above all, we want to help people from the four corners of the world to discover it. Radicepura, with its splendid botanical environments that are a work in progress, invites you to discover that nature here is one great open-air garden, and that here it gives expression to all its strongest elements. Gardeners, landscape architects, engineers, chefs and artists are invited to present their art in all its different expressive forms. International names alternate along the route with young talents rewarded by the competition, and each in his or her own way proposes the essence of the Mediterranean: gentle or dramatic, sensual or arid, in a setting of the great biological diversity that develops in the Mediterranean climate. The festival was conceived in the intent to underline the importance of the culture of landscape, to give meaning to the values, to the benefits and importance of living en plein air, of respecting nature and the environment in which we live. The Mediterranean is unique: it was, and still is, the cradle of our culture, thanks to its different traditions and its generous biodiversity. Radicepura Garden Festival aims to be the propulsive force that will trigger a new age in the economic and cultural development of this entire territory.
