NAVAL AIR STATION PATUXENT RIVER, Md. (July 18, 2018) Aviation Machinist's Mate Airman Austin Roebuck, assigned to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 1, guides a P-8A Poseidon to the runway onboard Naval Air Station Patuxent River. VX-1's mission is to test and evaluate airborne anti-submarine warfare and maritime anti-surface warfare weapon systems, airborne strategic weapon systems, as well support systems, equipment and materials in an oeprational environment.
