He died in1837, at the age of eighty-two. His wife died July 29, 1819. COL. EDWARD PARSONSwas born in West Springfield, Hampden Co., Mass., Sept. 17,1804, and died Aug. 12, 1878, having spent his life of seventy-four years on the same homestead which has been in the familynearly one hundred and fifty years. He married, Nov. 17,1825, Sophronia, daughter of John Bagg, Esq., of WestSpringfield; she died July 8, 1875. They were not blessedwith children.
