I have traveled over the different railroads in Vermontseveral times during the past two years, and have made suchexamination of the several roads and their management as Icould under the circumstances. Some of our roads haveimproved considerable since my last report; at that timethey had not got the roads entirely repaired from the damagesoccasioned by the violent storm of October, 1869, but at thepresent time the effects of that storm upon the roads havealmost entirely disappeared, and the roads are now in verygood repair through t
