Valentina Marchei and Ondrej Hotarek free skating champions
Ondřej Hotárek (born 25 January 1984) is a Czech-Italian pair skater who began competing for Italy in 2006. He currently competes with Valentina Marchei. With former partner Stefania Berton, he is the 2013 European bronze medalist, the 2013 Skate Canada International champion, and a three-time Italian national champion. Berton/Hotárek are the first Italian pair skaters to win European and Grand Prix , Hotárek competed as a single skater and pair skater for the Czech Republic. Valentina Marchei (born 23 May 1986) is an Italian figure skater. As a singles skater, she is a five-time Italian national champion (2004, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014). Her highest ISU Championship placements were 4th at the 2013 European Championships and 8th at the 2012 World Championships. She represented Italy at the 2014 Winter Olympics and placed 11th. She currently competes as a pair skater with Ondřej Hotárek, representing Italy. Hotárek and Marchei finished 4th at the 2015 European Figure Skating Championships and 11th at the 2015 World Figure Skating Championships.
