Candles are placed on the grave on All Saints' Day at the Evangelical-Augsburg Cemetery in Warsaw. All Saints' Day (or Dzie? Zaduszny in Polish) is a public holiday in Poland. It is an opportunity to remember deceased relatives. On this day, people bring flowers, typically chrysanthemums, and candles to cemeteries. The entire cemetery is filled with lights in the darkness. The Evangelical-Augsburg Cemetery is a historic Lutheran Protestant cemetery located in the western part of Warsaw. Since its opening in 1792, more than 100,000 people have been buried there.
