Modern surgery, general and operative . buboes which are prone to suppurate. In hospitalpractice about 30 per cent, of patients with chancroids develop buboes. Thebubo may be either unilateral or bilateral. In the majority of cases the ade-nitis of chancroid is due to the absorption of toxins alone and the pus may beentirely free from bacteria. Cases have been reported in which non-indurated.
