Gentlemen, — I herewith submit my report ofthe trip to the head waters of the Mississippi, un-dertaken in your interest in the month of Octoberlast. COMPANY AND EQUIPMENT. The company consisted of three persons,—one atrained land-explorer, a second to serve as driverand general assistant, and myself as the leaderof the party.
