, Wroclaw, Lower Silesia, Poland - The Panorama of Raclawice with the huge painting (15x114m) among others. the painter Wojciech Kossak is an important relic of the mass culture of the 19th century with then special 3-D effects (sophisticated lighting, artificial landscape elements in front of the canvas, scenic tricks). Completed it in 1894 in the then Polish Lviv, the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Raclawice, in which the Polish national hero Tadeusz Kosciuszko General led an uprising against the Russian Okupanten. 1946 battered painting was transferred to Wroclaw.
