A tall, stately plant, with beautiful flowers of various colors, and having glands at the base of each petal, which shine with a peculiar luster and resemble pearls. The bulbs have an odor which resembles that of the onion, but more intense. Plant six inches deep, and one foot apart, in good, rich soil, in October or November. The bulbs need not be disturbed oftener than once in three or four years. Mixed varieties, is cents each; $ per dozen, postpaid. (Bleeding Heart). Perennial plants, blooming, in the early spring; favorably known almost everywhere. They require only the ordinary culture of border plants. Roots planted in autumn will flower freely the following spring. The roots should be divided every third year. The flowers are a delicate pink color, graceful, and produce continuously from May till July. Dielytra Spectabilis, 20 cents each; $ per dozen postpaid. Bears peculiar clusters of white flowers, which last a long time 'and have a delicate fragrance. The bulbs force easily and will come into bloom in January and February in an ordinary greenhouse. Also grow well and bloom freely in an ordinary sitting room if placed near the window and not kept too hot. Will stand a slight .freezing without injury. They appear to the best ad- ' vantage when four or five bulbs are set in a six-inch pot, in light, rich soil. Freesia Refracta Alba, 2 for 5 cents; 20 cts. per doz.; $ per 100, postpaid. Admirably adapted to house cul- ture, and nothing is prettier for window plants, as they flower freely, are in bloom a long time, and are remarkably free from insects.
