A recruit of Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, climbs over a cargo net obstacle during the Confidence Course event at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Nov. 23. Recruits were instructed to move with speed and intensity to ensure that the rest of the recruits got to try every obstacle. Today, all males recruited from west of the Mississippi are trained at MCRD San Diego. The depot is responsible for training more than 16,000 recruits annually. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate Jan. 29.
