The mirrored body positions of these two White Egret mates and the arc of their necks looks makes an Egret Love Knot. At least that is what I generally have titled this image! While it cannot be seen there is one blue egg in the nest they tend. The great herons and egrets always surprise me with how tender they seem towards their mates, how shared the duties and how diligently they provide for their young. It is not an easy task.
