SHANGHAI (Nov. 17, 2015) Adm. Scott H. Swift, commander Pacific Fleet, meets with Vice Adm. Su Zhiqian, the East Sea Fleet Commander of Chinese People’s Liberation Army (Navy), aboard the forward-deployed Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Stethem (DDG 63). Stethem is in Shanghai to build relationships with the PLA Navy and demonstrate the Navy’s commitment to the Indo-Asia-Pacific.
