This image shows Arena del Sole in Bologna, Italy. L 'Arena del Sole is the largest theater building in Bologna . The historic building that houses the theater is located in Via della Indipendenza 44, before the great Giuseppe Garibaldi Monument. On the neoclassical facade stands the inscription "Luogo dato agli spettacoli diurni". Loosely translated means "The place given to daytime shows." The Arena del Sole in fact originated as a theater, inaugurated on 5th July 1810, on the site of the convent of the Dominican nuns of Santa Maria Maddalena, suppressed in the era of Napoleon.
