Hawley Harvey Crippen (Dr. Crippen), c1910. Hawley Harvey Crippen (1862-1910), was an American homeopath, ear and eye specialist and medicine dispenser who was hanged in Pentonville Prison, London, for the murder of his wife, Cora Henrietta Crippen. He was the first criminal to be captured with the aid of wireless telegraphy.
