09/12/19 The Christmas carols were particularly ÔruffÕ as almost 100 dogs and other pets including, cats, hens, hamsters and a donkey joined the festive congregation for the Celebration of Animals Service at St. Oswald's Church, Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Dogs were invited to to join in with the singing. One dog owner said: ÒItÕs a great thing to come and have your dog blessed before Christmas, even if it is all a bit barking mad!Ó The annual service raises funds for both the church and the Ark Rescue & Rehoming Centre, Ashbourne.
