C, and gav^ the land on whichthe church stands. John Barr was one of the first bench ofelders in Back Creek Church. His wife was Mary King; theyraised a large family of children. A little Iwok, The Life ofJohn Barr, is to be found in some of the old church one desiring to learn more about the Barr ancestors mightrefer to Miss Lou Graham, Statesville, N.
