Cape Tainaron (or "Matapan") on the southernmost corner of Mani region, was considered in the ancient times, the "Gate to Hades". It is the point where the Balkan peninsula ends. On both sides you can see two small gulfs with beautiful beaches and two small villages, Porto Kayo (or "Cayo") on the left (east) and Marmari on the right (west).
