Hybrids and sports have given shades from pink to almost purple, and a white variety also ex- ists. Spur is very long and thin. Zanzibar. 6643. With /. aurea representing the ge- nus in the U. S. An annual with orange-colored fls., mottled with reddish brown : spur strongly inflcxed, about half as long as posterior sepal.
