US Bomb casings left over from the Vietnam conflict used as a temple bell in Muang Ngoi Laos


Muang Ngoi and the surrounding landscape in the far north east of Laos is just a few miles from the Vietnamese border and Dien Bien Phu only reached by boat trip up the Nam Ou river, it is a one dirt track village which was a communist stronghold during the French Indo China and part of the Ho Chi Minh trail in the second IndoChina war and was heavily bombed by the American air force in the mid sixties
