Bone cancer, light micrograph. This is an osteogenic sarcoma, the most common histological form of primary bone sarcoma, an aggressive malignant (cancerous) neoplasm. This osteogenic sarcoma is located in the bone periphery. Tumour cells invade the cortical bone producing neoplastic osteoid (bone matrix), which appears as elongated uncalcified bone trabeculae.
