The Ride of the Kings. Folklore festival in Vlcnov, Czech Republic. A young man dressed in traditional folk costume rides a decorated horse to perform the Recruit during the Ride of the Kings. All young men from the village, who turn 18 this year, attend the ceremonial procession as the Recruits. The Ride of the Kings takes place every year in the small village of Vlcnov in Moravian Slovakia, an ethnic region in South Moravia, Czech Republic. This traditional folklore festival has been inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
