Bulgarian culture celebrations traditional wrestling men and women complete
Wrestlers raise funds for Nun’s with annual dry wrestling competition held in Monastery grounds. Men ladies and children complete for cash prizes on a hot summer afternoon. Holly Trinity dates back to 1836 and today is a working Monastery with a small collection of Nuns, locals named the Monastery Rebel Monastery after freedom fighter Hristo fought battles in the area. Today the Monastery sees frighting of a different type, Bulgarian dry wrestling as an annual fund raiser for the small collection of working nuns.
