Aspen trees dying in Colorado
Dr. Wayne Shepperd looks over the dead trees in a grove of aspen trees atop Cameron Pass in northcentral Colorado. Though aspen trees regularly die and regenerate new trees from the network of roots below certain stands of the trees have not been regenerating causing concern among foresters in the west.
