The gymnasiumis particularly well equipped with all kinds ofgymnastic apparatus. On Plate L is shown thegymnasium aboard the Amerika. When a rideris astride the saddle in the foreground and a machineis put in motion, he gets exactly the same exerciseas though he were mounted on a real steed.
