Sandboarding is a popular pastime here for local daredevil rustic, small village - known by locals as 'Jeri' has broad streets of sand flanked by numerous guesthouses, cafes and boutiques. The remote area is a desert landscape of huge dunes and lagoons beside the Atlantic. The beach is considered by many as one of the most beautiful in the world - certainly one of the most extraordinary settings. The nearest city is Fortaleza, six hour's drive away.
