A carved powder horn, German, mid-18th century. The body is of greenish horn with finely carved decoration. There are cartouches on the viewing sides with half relief carvings of Saul and David and the Judgment of Solomon. The sides display rich vine work and dark horn inlays. The nozzle is in the shape of a fish head. The plug shows a genre-figure. Silver bands.
