In many cases stuttering seems to be associatedwith a peculiarity of character. This cannot beattributed entirely to the presence of the one case in my experience the child had previouslydeveloped a condition of nervousness which hadbecome very extreme on account of lack of training SYMPTOMS, FORMS, NATURE 21 in self-control. The stuttering habit, engraftedon this, became very violent. In another case thestuttering was associated with slowness of thought;.
