Trygve Lie, Norwegian politician, and Tage Erlander, Prime Minister of Sweden, 15 February 1964. At a meeting of Nordic Council. Lie (1896-1968) served as Foreign Minister of Norway from 1941 until 1946, when he was appointed the United Nations' first Secretary General, a post he held until 1952. He was Norway's Minister of Trade and Shipping at the time of this photograph. Erlander (1901-1985) was Sweden's Prime Minister from 1946 until 1969. From the collection of Svenskt Fotoreportages.
