Col. Nate Vogel, 22nd Air Refueling Wing commander, gives a speech at the unveiling of the Keeper of the Plains replica donated to the base July 23, 2021, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas. The ten-foot-tall Keeper was donated by the Friends of McConnell organization and designed by Vincent Fredericksen, 22nd Civil Engineer Squadron base architect, and Staff Sgt. Trevor Bjelke, former 22nd Communications Squadron network infrastructure technician.
