PARSONS Most men who work on controllers or under the carwill substitute for a single lamp extension light, a five-lamp cluster in order to get more light. If left to theirown resources the men usually make up a crude clusterfrom a board and any available sockets that they canfind, the whole being wired up with more or less course, as better light insures better work there. Details of Connections for Wireless Cluster is no good reason why clusters should not be used attimes. On the other hand, one of the first trouble-mak-ers sought for by the insurance inspectors is the oldwooden cluster, the use of which has been positivelyforbidden. Another bad feature of such clusters is thebreakage of lamps, which is rather expensive and in-convenient. The accompanying cut illustrates a cluster which hasthe entire approval of the insurance inspectors, whichis handy and convenient and which is also practicallyfree from the breakage of lamps. It is made and usedas follows: A piece of y2-in. conduit to any length desired istaken, but a length of 12 in. is the most suitable. Abellmouth and gasket are attached at one end. Onthe other end is screwed a flange to which are fasteneda five-light wireless cluster and a 15-in. metal enameledshade. These fittings are standard and are cheap, andare designed to be assembled in this manner. The wireused
