The seafront of Monterosso al Mare is one of the cliff-hanging small fishing villages, many with coloured pastel buildings part of Cinque Terre, facing the Ligurian Sea in the Province of La Spezia on the northwest Italian coast of Italy. The five Cinque Terre villages are only accessible by rail or boat. Cinque Terre is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage list Along the coast, the other villages are Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.
