On thisevening they fancied the spirits of the departed cried on thethresholds of the living for light to be brought to them, which,when given in the form of burning tapers set on the doorstep,made them content to lie do^vn and sleep in peace for anothertwelve months. * The Little God, now the name given to the Child Christ, whoseworship is, more or less, mixed with the former adoration of the ancientpagan God Dabog, or Daybog —the Sun God—who, in old times,was represented by a wooden figure, with a silver head and A Pack Horse in Herzegovina.
