George Creel, Chairman of the Committee on Public Information during World War One, is seen aboard the George Washington, en route to Paris, France. The photograph, taken in 1918 by the Signal Corps , shows Creel in his role as a key figure in spreading information about the war. The image is numbered 63325 and labeled as symbol B.
