Equipment from the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program in Norway (MCPP-N) is staged in the assembly area during Strategic Mobility Exercise 17 (STRATMOBEX) near Stjørdal, Norway, May 4, 2017. The forward prepositioning of MCPP-N materiel reduces reaction time and eliminates the need to deploy equipment from locations in the continental United States. MCPP-N thus enables the rapid aggregation of a credible, agile, and flexible Marine Air Ground Task Force and creates operational and strategic options for the defense of NATO allies and partners.
