The Madrasah was built of brick and topped with three blue domes. The doors of cells (khudjrs) and the gate of Barak-Khan Madrasah are inlaid with ivory and non-ferrous metals. In the old days calotte of the dome of the Suyundzh-Khan Mausoleum was decorated with sky blue tiles and the drum of the dome was decorated with mosaic octagonal star, thereby the Mausoleum was called "Kok Gumbaz" or "Blue Dome"; the walls were decorated with gold paintings.
