Airmen today continue the tradition, delivering supplies to remote islands of the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, Yap, Palau, Chuuk and Pohnpei. More than 600 pounds of donated goods was dropped over the remote islands during the operation. Chief Sundberg is a loadmaster from the 36th Airlift Squadron from Yokota Air Base, Japan.
