For the past fifteenyears Mrs. Southwick has served as commer-cial saleslady, representing the Oakdale Manu-facturing Company, Providence, Rhode is a member of the Episcopal church. Christopher Osgood, immi-OSGOOD grant ancestor, born in Eng-land about 1600, came to Amer-ica in the ship Mary and John, sailing March24, 1633-4. He settled at Ipswich, Massa-. C/i^a. 0,i3o-uU^iA4^t r MIDDLESEX COUNTY. 1855 chusetts. It is thought that his parents wereChristopher and EHzabeth (Brockwell) Os-good, married October 30, 1599, at St. Thomasparish, Wiltshire. The widow EHzabeth diedJune 18, 1612, and it is Hkely that Christopherwas raised by some relatives. There is prob-ably some relationship between Christopherand the two other Osgood pioneers, John Os-good of Newbury, and William Osgood ofSalisbury, Massachusetts. Christopher was abrick maker by trade. He was a proprietor ofIpswich in 1634, and was admitted a free-man May 6, 1635. He died in 1650. His will,dated April 19, 1650, proved October 10, 1650,bequeathed to wife Margery, son Christopher,daughters Mary, Abigail, Elizabeth and De-borah ; father-in-law Philip Fowler, an over-seer ; wife executrix.
