One of the largest of the Peony-flowered type which under ordinary field culture attains a size of over 8 inches; in color, it is one of the most brilliant, a rich fiery-red which is intensified by a lemon-yellow centre with which the petals are also more or less tipped and marked; early and stands out most prominently in the garden.
