Giovanni Battista Brustolini. San Giorgio Maggiore. 1732–1796. Italy. Etching and engraving on paper Giambattista Brustolon was a printmaker from Belluno, Italy, who used a combination of etching and engraving in his reproductive prints. Employed by the best Venetian publishers, he was well known for his works after Canaletto views of Venice, published in 1763, and scenes of ceremonies and festivals, published around 1770.
