On board were British (ESA) astronaut Tim Peake, US (NASA) astronaut Tim Kopra, and Russian (RSA) commander Yuri Malenchenko. They had spent 186 days on the International Space Station (ISS). Tim Peake (on the Principia mission) was the eighth European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut to complete a long-duration mission in space. He was flown directly to ESA's astronaut base in Cologne, Germany, for medical checks and for researchers to collect additional data on how his body and mind adapted to living in space. Photographed on 18 June 2016.
