Legendary sailor Sir Robin Knox-Johnston set off around the world yesterday (Wednesday)- 37 years after becoming the first man to sail solo and non-stop around the globe. Sir Robin, 67, the oldest captain taking part in the competition, left Portsmouth, Hants, in his boat Saga Insurance heading to Spain for the start of the Five Oceans Race on October 22.
