The Gran Fondo Road Race commences on West Grange Road in the east of Dundee. Riders will then cycle north-east on Arbroath Road, which is part of the A92, towards Arbroath before turning north-east at Salmon's Muir, two miles north of Carnoustie, and returning down the A92 to the Dundee finish line. Another spectacular route, riders will experience the beautiful Angus scenery including Camustane Hill, near the Firth of Tay and Carnoustie with spectators zones by the start and finish line at the top of West Grange Road. The dates for the inaugural UCI Cycling World Championships taking place in Glasgow and across Scotland were announced during a press conference today by the event’s organisers, 2023 Cycling World Championships Ltd, and the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). From 3 to 13 August 2023, the UCI Cycling World Championships will deliver one of the most important moments in the history of the sport, bringing the global cycling family together for the first time. The championships, which is said to be one of the biggest cycling events in history, will run until August 13. One of the world’s biggest and most important cycling competitions, the events will see some of the world’s best cyclists compete across 13 contests in the ultimate tests of talent, tenacity and toughness. Over 8,000 cyclists are set to participate in the contests at a variety of venues across the country
