Saxony: A broadsword of 1810 pattern, for cuirassier officers. Fullered, single-edged blade with a double-edged point. A maker's mark on the ricasso reads "" and "In Solingen", above this are formerly gilt etchings of floral patterns and trophies. The hilt has two guard bars, a lion's head pommel, a finger ring. Leather grip with copper wire binding. A Saxon coat of arms (somewhat polish worn) is shown on the knuckle guard. The steel scabbard has two movable suspension rings. Length 98 cm.
