Edfu. This is the 200BC Temple of Horus the Falcon God, located midway between Luxor and Aswan on the River Nile and the city of Edfu famed for its huge pylons, finely decorated columns, cartouche hieroglyphs story telling wall panels, and fine artwork on its ceilings. The temple was fortunate that the majority of it was covered by wind blown sand thus preserving the temple from the elements for centuries.
