The archaeological excavations at the talaiotic settlement at Ses Paisses near the Mallorcan town of Arta. They date from 1 300 - 900 BC.


The site of Ses Païsses, near the Mallorcan town of Arta is a site dating back to the Talaiotic can be dated to the the late second millennium to the early first millennium BCE. The name comes from a talaiot (or talayot, a bronze age megalith found on Mallorca and Menorca. The inhabitants economy was based on animal husbandry, cereal cultivation and the exploitation of wild Ses Paisses the wall surrounding the settlement dates back to c 650-540 BCE. It is an elliptical shape some 320 metres long with a maximum height of metres and width of metres.
