Watching Night Fall over Peruvian Amazon Jungle from Hammocks on a River Boat

Traveling between Yurimaguas and Iquitos on the Peruvian Amazon river system takes about 3 days on a three-decked river boat. You have to bring your hammock (you can buy them in the riverside towns) for your accommodation - you hang it wherever you can find space on deck. Then you lie back, wait for the boat to depart (which can take a day or two) and watch the Amazon go by.
