The principles of Eng-lish composition governing punctuation, the use of words,sentences, and paragraphs should be thoroughly mastered;and practice in composition, oral as well as written, shouldextend throughout the secondary-school period. Writtenexercises should comprise, narration, description, easyexposition, argument, and letter-writing. It is advisable.
