Sgt. Erik Schei lets out a big smile at the Oct. 8 inactivation ceremony for the 94th Engineer Battalion, 4th MEB, 1st Infantry Division, held on Fort Leonard Wood’s Gammon Field. Schei, a former 94th Engineer Battalion Soldier, was shot in the head during a patrol in Iraq on Oct. 26, 2005.
