COLONIE NY-- The New York National Guard Family Readiness Council, a non-profit that raises money to help the families of New York Army and Air National Guard members, held its annual Hometown Heroes fundraising 5 K race on Oct. 19 at Crossings of Colonie Park here. Awards were presented to the fastest male and female runners and special recognition was given to participants in a "couch to 5 K " development program.
